Our new Bridge Program has been nothing short of amazing!

This important addition has provided students with the support they need to bridge academic gaps, and we are thrilled to share some highlights, as we wrap up this exciting first month.

In writing, our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders have been working on personal narratives, focusing on sequencing events using transition words and adding vivid details by tapping into their five senses.

Our 4th graders are diving deep into literature, studying ‘Because of Winn-Dixie’ and preparing for a character analysis project based on their favorite character.

In math, all grades are enhancing their place value skills using the Singapore Math curriculum. We’re also monitoring progress in reading and math to ensure targeted instruction.

Last week, we monitored eight students in reading, and 100% of them improved in fluency—a huge achievement!

As we look forward to further progress and new challenges, we are incredibly grateful for the support this program has received.

We look forward to growing the Bridge Program to hopefully reach 25-30 students a year—addressing one of the greatest educational needs in our nation.
