Pathways Program
Beginning the 8th grade year, Brookstone’s Pathways Program assists and empowers parents and students by providing information concerning expectations, requirements, and processes in the transition from middle school to high school.
With our small class size and caring staff, we are able to calm fears and provide encouragement in our weekly one-on-one and group counseling sessions, as students are guided through the high school application process. The program also provides a trip to a selective private high school where students are exposed both to the expectations for prospective students and a day-in-the-life of the school campus
What might first appear overwhelming and intimidating is made a positive and successful experience as we ultimately pursue the best match for our students. Through prayer and partnership, we provide our students and parents with all the tools necessary to make an informed decision and choose a school that is the best fit.
High School Placement
- Public Schools—40% (50 students)
- Private Schools—41% (51 students)
- Charter or Magnet Schools—19% (23 students)
Brookstone students have been accepted into some of the top private schools in Charlotte, which include Cannon School, Carmel Christian, Charlotte Christian, Charlotte Latin, Covenant Day, Gaston Christian, Gaston Day, and Hickory Grove.
After School Enrichment Program (ASEP)
Priority registration began on March 31, 2026 for all registered 2026-2027 bus riders.
Open registration begins July 6, 2026 for all other students.
Our Mission: to equip and empower each student with a world-changing mindset, a passion for God’s word, the motivation to achieve academic excellence and the knowledge to understand who they are in Christ.
What we offer:
- Daily Snack
- Homework assistance- minimum time allotted for homework is 30 minutes Monday-Thursday (unless the student has been selected to participate in a special performance or program)
- Academic Booster Sessions (for low performing and advanced students)
- progress & report card monitoring
- reading & math tutoring (as needed)

- Performing Arts (Christmas, Easter and other school productions) 4:50 pickup time
- Character & Team Building Sessions (For ex: Stop the Bullying, Mr. GrapeE, Girls & Boys Self Image sessions)

Days/Hours of Operation and Pickup Policy:
Monday through Friday, immediately following school dismissal, 3:00pm - 5:30pm
- ASEP does not operate on half days or holidays
- Daily programming ends at 5pm. Car riders have until 5:30pm to be picked up or $1.00 per minute late fee will be applied. (no exceptions)
- Bus riders will load the bus daily at 4:50pm and depart from Brookstone no later than 5pm. (unless otherwise communicated)
- Any child not enrolled in ASEP, must be picked up at the regular school dismissal time. No unenrolled student will be allowed to report to ASEP (no exceptions.)
Cost:
- The one-time, semester fee of $100 per student must be made at the time of after school registration.
- Spots are limited per grade, and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a class reaches maximum capacity, the student(s) name will be placed on the waitlist, no exceptions.

Brookstone Learning and Adventure Camp: Five weeks of fun, games, learning, field trips, and continued support during the summer months.
Our mission is to glorify God by offering a program of academic excellence that will equip under-resourced students spiritually, academically, and socially for lives of future leadership and service.
This unique camp is a collaborative effort involving local churches, teachers, and dedicated volunteers.
Morning Learning:
Allows students the opportunity to practice their math and reading skills, which enables children to avoid the “summer slide” academically and to stay on target for the upcoming school year.
Afternoon Enrichment & Fun:
Programming provided by local churches, which includes a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, soccer, kickball, and other outdoor games, as well as engaging Bible instruction.
Mission Possible:
Our Mission Possible program invites 6th–8th grade students to turn their afternoons into opportunities for service and spiritual growth.
Through hands-on projects they help design and lead, students discover how to put their faith into action in meaningful, age-appropriate ways.
Whether it's organizing donation drives or encouraging younger campers, each project teaches them to live out the love of Christ in practical, lasting ways.
Field Trips:
Every Friday we take students on a fun filled field trip. 6th-8th grade also take a few extra off campus excursions for their service projects.

Camp Dates:
June 22 to July 24, 2026
Time:
Monday – Friday
9am - 4pm
Cost:
$120 for 5 weeks of camp, lunch included
Before/After Camp Care:
7:30am - 8:45am and/or 4pm - 5pm = $45
What to Bring to Camp:
Summer attire, comfortable sneakers, snack, and water bottle
Important Dates:
- July 24th: Talent Show & Last Day of Camp
- Half-day schedule: Dismissal at 12:00 PM
- No extended care available
