Creative Play
Junior Kindergarten students thrive in an environment where imagination leads the way!
Through dress-up, building blocks, art, and more — students develop social skills, fine and gross motor skills—all essential building blocks for Kindergarten readiness.
Build-A-Bear Adventure
Learning comes to life in JK! As a special highlight of their bear unit, our students took a trip to Build-A-Bear, where they each chose a polar bear or grizzly bear to make and take home. This exciting experience made learning even more memorable.
Planting Flowers
Little hands, big learning! As part of their plant study, students got their hands dirty planting their very own flowers. As they dug in the soil and cared for their plants, they discovered what it takes for things to grow—instilling in them a love for God’s creation through interactive learning.
Learning to Ride
Learning extends beyond the classroom! JK students have been practicing their riding skills on tricycles, building confidence and coordination while engaging their whole bodies in active play. It’s a fun way to strengthen motor skills and enjoy the outdoors!
Writing Center Exploration
At the writing center, students build early literacy skills in an engaging and interactive way.
They practice letter sounds and names using Orton-Gillingham drills. They reinforce their understanding of the letter of the week and review past letters using a multi-sensory approach.
These activities strengthen foundational writing skills and make learning fun.
