Gillian Britt: Jr. Kindergarten
Ms. Gigi received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Coker College and her postgraduate degree in Education from Catawba College. She has been teaching for 14 years, with a primary focus in Pre-Kindergarten for the past five years. Ms. Gigi loves being a Pre-K teacher because she believes that Pre-K is the foundation of a child’s educational journey.
Julia Dunn: 1st Grade
Ms. Dunn is excited to begin her fourth year teaching as a member of the Brookstone community. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Diversity Studies. She previously taught in a Dual-Immersion program in Cabarrus County.
Hayley Haynes: 5th-6th Math
Mrs. Haynes graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. She previously worked as a middle school English teacher at a private school in Greenville, SC. She and her husband James recently moved to Charlotte to pursue community and ministry opportunities.
Gloria Meaders: 7th-8th Math
Mrs. Meaders has been a teacher for three years. She attended Southern New Hampshire University and is currently working on her master's degree. She chose education because she wants to guide students spiritually and mentally by equipping them with biblical principles along with academic excellence.
Meriam Chin: Jr. Kindergarten
Ms. Chin is a graduate from Queen’s University of Charlotte who majored in English and minored in Creative Writing. She is thrilled to be working at Brookstone as an assistant teacher for JK. She is also thankful to continue furthering her education in early childhood.
De’Shjanna Woods: 2nd Grade
Ms. Woods was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She attended Miller-Motte College where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education, graduating Cum Laude. She has worked in CMS Schools in 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade.
Niambi Archer: 5th-6th History
Mrs. Archer is a Charlotte, NC native. She graduated from The University of North Carolina with an undergraduate degree in History, African and African-American Studies. Niambi earned a masters degree in Elementary Education from Metropolitan College of New York. After graduation she taught in New York City Schools and at Charlotte Christian school. Previously she taught as a 1st grade teacher in the CMS system for 6 years.
