Meet the Brookstone Team

A letter from our Head of School

As we celebrate  over 20 years of Christian education here at Brookstone, I believe our mission has never been more needed in our city and nation:

To glorify God by equipping under-resourced students spiritually, socially, and academically for future lives of leadership and service.

The name Brookstone comes from the Old Testament story of David vs.Goliath. Just as the Lord used David's smooth stone from the brook to slay the giant, our founders believed that a firm faith foundation in Jesus coupled with a sound academically-challenging education are the stones God can provide our students to break the poverty cycle today.

With God’s help and grace, we seek to shape and mold the minds and hearts of our students, so they will actively love and serve one other as fellow image-bearers of God—sharing the hope that can only be found through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

For at Brookstone, we aim to lay the firm foundation of Jesus in the lives of our city and nation’s future thought-leaders and change-agents.

We pray that you will prayerfully consider having your child join us on this profound and deeply rich journey!

Sincerely yours,

John A. Murray
